The prayer blanket is a beautiful gift for someone who is ill or who needs spiritual support. It shows them that someone cares. We will be making a DVD on How to Make a Prayer Blanket and will post the link when complete. Click on the link below to learn more about this ministry. |

We are trying to establish a craft day on Wednesday. We hope that the women who come to stay at St. Pio’s House of Hope can be taught different skills on these days. Some of the things taught will be soap and candle making, learning to knit on a machine, sewing, card and scrapbooking. Click below. |

We are called to go back to a simple way of life and we have converted the back yard at both houses into raised garden beds. Both houses have vegetable gardens and hopefully one day we will be sustainable and able to teach others. Click link below for more details. |

Every Wednesday is craft day and ladies come to the Holy Family House of Prayer and make rosaries and rosary bracelets. There is also people from different parts of Australia that make us beads and send them to us. |

It is such a privilege to paint a statue and see it change. It is very relaxing and spiritual. Majority of the statues at The Holy Family House of Prayer were made by a man called Eric. Eric lived very close and passed away on May 24th, 2003. The last statue he made was St Joseph and this was delivered on March 19th, 2003. We are just in the process of making a statue of Our Lady of Tears. |
